Here at Pinworthy Kitchen, we have tested many hummus recipes, but none compare with this one. This recipe met all of the requirements- being perfectly smooth, containing just the right Mediterranean flavor, and being easy enough for any chef to prepare. The flavor of this appetizer is absolute perfection, and the parsley, olive oil, and paprika are natural pairings.
This is one of the few recipes where it is truly worth the time it takes to prepare. Plan on spending about 15-20 minutes shelling the chickpeas, but the rest of the recipe comes together quickly.
It is far cheaper to make homemade hummus than it is to get something similar at a restaurant. With one jar of tahini, one can make several batches of hummus- just be sure to keep some extra chickpeas on hand. The average cost of one batch of this hummus is about four to five dollars.
